Atul has extensive corporate and operational finance experience in the UK and India, most recently as a Director at Grant Thornton in Corporate Finance, involved in media and technology, including leading the FinTech practice. Prior to that he spent 7 years at Deloitte Corporate Finance, including as Interim Head of M&A at BBC Worldwide as a secondee.

Projects he has led include fundraises for a global payment solutions provider, an IPO of a binary options platform, as well as a leading independent UK-based TV production company. Atul holds an MBA from London Business School, as well as Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Mumbai.

Corporate Finance Executive With Expertise in Solar and Fundraising; Charl is currently the Chief Investment Officer of Solar Africa, a leading player in the B2B solar space in Africa, where he has led fundraising of over USD 100m.

Additionally, he provides consulting services in the fundraising space, mostly in Africa but with a generalist approach. He previously worked for Rand Merchant Bank in South Africa as a real estate investment banker. Charl is a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and holds a CFA and a Bachelor degree from the University of Cape Town.
