Charl is currently the Chief Investment Officer of Solar Africa, a leading player in the B2B solar space in Africa, where he has led fundraising of over USD 70m. Additionally, he provides consulting services in the fundraising space, mostly in Africa but with a generalist approach. He previously worked for Rand Merchant Bank in South Africa as a real estate investment banker. Charl is a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and holds a CFA and a Bachelor degree from the University of Cape Town.
